The Iron Skillet Farmhouse Inn was located at Banner Elk, North Carolina
It was a 1940’s restored farmhouse bed and breakfast situated on 3 acres across from the Blueberry Farm in Banner Elk, North Carolina. Seen in the movie "Where the Lilies Bloom," the house was a country inn having thoughtfully adorned rooms full of country charm and simple pleasures. From the rocking chair front porch to the old cisterns nestled under the spreading oak tree, you could experience the scenic views of Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain along with local Fraser fir Christmas tree farms.
Turn-of-the-century antiques and collectibles, and wormy chestnut and hickory plank flooring graced the Iron Skillet Farmhouse Inn of Banner Elk to add a warmth contagious to all.
Guests could wake up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sitting down to a hearty country breakfast. Spend the day touring the towns of Banner Elk, Boone, Beech Mtn., and Blowing Rock, North Carolina along with Valle Crucis. Grandfather Mountain, The Blue Ridge Parkway, and Linville Gorge are popular destinations to visit.
